Northern Zambia Union Conference

Northern Zambia Union Conference territory comprises the Copperbelt, North-western, Luapula, Muchinga and Northern Provinces, part of Lusaka Province along Great East Road up to Luangwa;  part Lusaka and Central Provinces along Mumba Road up to Kafue Hook Bridge.

The territory comprises the following conferences and field in Northern Zambia Union Conference:

1. Copperbelt Zambia Conference

The Copperbelt Zambia Conference stretches from Chambishi up to Mpongwe in Copperbelt Province. Other Copperbelt towns/districts include: Kitwe, Mufulira, Kalulushi, Ndola, Lufwanyama, Luanshya, Masaiti and Mpongwe.

It covers also part of Central Province from Kapiri Mposhi to Chitambo along the Great North Road.

2. Luapula Zambia Conference

The Luapula Zambia Conference territory covers, not only Luapula Province. It includes parts of Northern Province, namely: Kaputa District, Nsama District (with Nsumbu area), and Chilubi Island (on Lake Bangweulu).

3. Midlands East Zambia Conference

The territory of this conference consists of the areas lying within the boundary from:

  • Great East Road junction and Parliament Road, going eastward on Great

East Road up to the Luangwa bridge.

  • From the Luangwa bridge northwards along the Central Province boundary with Eastern Province following along the southern and western boundaries of
  • Mkushi district into Kabwe district and Parts of Kapiri Mposhi and Ngabwe Political districts including areas under the jurisdiction of Chiefs Chipepo, Ngabwe and Mukubwe
  • Then from the Lukanga swamps following the demarcation between Chiyuni Mission District and Chibombo Mission District up till the junction of Lusaka – Ndola Road (T2) and Ibis Gardens.
  • Crossing from Ibis Gardens westwards to Mwoomboshi Settlement Scheme at the junction with the Railway line, following along the Railway line southwards to Chisamba Political District at the junction with the Airport Road.
  • Following along the Airport Road to the junction with the Kalimba Farm Road and turning right along the Kalimba Farm Road till the junction with Zambezi Road and turning left southwards along Zambezi Road till its junction with Katima Mulilo Road.
  • Turning right along Katima Mulilo Road, and then immediately left on Mapepe Road; then to its junction with Parliament Road to finally end at Parliament Road Junction with Great East Road.

4. Midlands West Zambia Conference

The territory of this conference consists of the areas lying within the boundary from:

  • The Kafue bridge on the Lusaka – Mongu Road, proceeding eastwards along the Lusaka – Mongu Road up to its junction with Lumumba Road;
  • From the Lusaka- Mongu Road and Lumumba Road junction to the junction of Lumumba and Kalambo Road;
  • From the Lumumba Road and Kalambo Road junction to the Kalambo Road and Great East Road junction;
  • Along Great east Road up to Parliament Road;
  • Along Parliament Road into Mapepe Road and immediately turning right to go and join Katima Mulilo Road.
  •  Along Katima Mulilo Road eastward to the junction with Zambezi Road; turning into Zambezi Road all the way to junction with Kalimba Farm Road.
  • Along the Kalimba Farm Road eastwards till the junction with the Airport Road; Taking the left turn all the way to Chisamba Political District and turning right to following the Railway line northwards till Momboshi settlement Scheme.
  • From Momboshi Settlement you procced northward until you reach the boarder with Mutenga Mission District.
  • From Mutenga Mission District you turn left westwards along the border of Chibombo Mission District till you reach the boundary of Mutenga and Kabwe West Mission District.
  • From the demarcation of Kabwe West Mission District you continue westward until when you reach the Great North Road Ndola T2 at a point 10km from Prospect Police Post.
  • From the point 10km on the great north road from Prospect Police post you continue heading westwards to the demarcation between Chibombo Mission District and Kabwe West Mission District until when you boarder with Butwa Mission District.
  • From the boundary with Butwa Mission District you continue westwards until when you reach the boarder with Lualaba Mission District and the Swamps.
  • From the Swamps you then turn left until when you reach Chiyuni Mission

District.

  • Then covering Mumbwa North Mission District and Mumbwa Political district.

5. Northwestern Zambia Conference

The territory of this Conference shall consist of North Western Province, including two Copperbelt Province political districts namely; Chingola and Chililabombwe districts.

6. North Zambia Field

North Zambia Field is a territory made up of Northern and Muchinga Provinces.

Northern Province is made up of the following districts;

  • Kasama Central
  • Mungwi
  • Mbala
  • Nzunzu (re-aligned from Mbala)
  • Mambwe
  • Mpulungu
  • Luwingu
  • Mporokoso
  • Luena
  • Lunte
  • Tanganyika plateau
  • Kasama west
  • Kasma east
  • Lukashya
  • Senga

Muchinga Province is made up of the following districts;

  • Nakonde
  • Isoka
  • Mafinga (covers Muyombe and Part of Chama, whose some areas are part of EZF)
  • Chinali
  • Shiwan’gandu
  • Mpika north
  • Mpika south (Covering Lavushimanda and Kanchibiya)

Kasama is the regional Headquarters of North Zambia Field.

North Zambia Field borders with Tanzania and Burundi in the North, Malawi and East Zambia Field in the East, Midlands East Zambia Conference and Copperbelt Zambia Conference in the south and South west, and Luapula Zambia Conference in the west.
